Stats review: Brosque hurts Jets again as Keogh continues fine form
Alex Brosque has long enjoyed playing against the Newcastle Jets and that continued for the Sydney FC star in Round 4 of the Hyundai A-League.
Brosque extended his good record against the Jets, although the Sky Blues were held to a 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile, Andy Keogh has helped Perth Glory to the top of the table and Melbourne Victory beat the Central Coast Mariners – again.

Brosque haunts Jets again as Sydney keep Vargas quiet
The Jets rallied to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to Sydney FC.
Brosque continued his incredible scoring record against the Jets, netting his 14th in 29 games against Newcastle with a header in the first half.
But Nick Cowburn's 87th-minute header - his maiden Hyundai A-League goal - earned the Jets a point after a strong second half.
The Sky Blues had taken control thanks in part to containing Ronald Vargas, who went into Round 4 having created more scoring chances (14) than any other player in the Hyundai A-League. The Venezuelan did not create a single chance against Sydney.
Keogh in form as Perth claim rare Coopers success
Keogh and Chris Ikonomidis scored second-half goals to see Perth Glory go top of the Hyundai A-League after a 2-0 win over Adelaide United.
The in-form Keogh has now scored in four consecutive games – his best run since he did so in eight in early 2016 – and has six in his past seven against the Reds.
Tony Popovic's impressive outfit also claimed what was a rare win at Coopers Stadium for Perth.
The victory was just their second in their past 10 games at the venue.
Mariners no closer to ending Victory misery
Victory continued their incredible record when facing Central Coast, extending their unbeaten run against the Mariners to 16 games with Sunday's 4-1 win.
Victory have outscored the Mariners 40-14 in that extraordinary run.
Keisuke Honda, James Troisi, Corey Brown and Josh Hope struck for Victory, who became the first club to win 100 home games in Hyundai A-League history.
Kevin Muscat has now faced the Mariners 16 times in his managerial career without losing. No other coach in the competition's history has faced them more than four times and not lost.
City soften Friday woes with Phoenix win
Melbourne City have struggled in their most recent matches on Fridays, but improved that record with a 2-0 win over Wellington Phoenix.
Fine strikes from Ritchie De Laet and Bruno Fornaroli saw City claim just their second win from their past 10 games played on a Friday.
But City have enjoyed a dominance over Wellington at AAMI Park and that continued, the victory marking their eighth in their past 13 meetings with the Phoenix at the venue.
Bart Schenkeveld went into the match having made more successful passes than any other player this season, and the City defender was once again relied upon, making a game-high 88 passes.
Roar's defensive road struggles continue
Brisbane Roar came from behind away from home to earn a 2-2 draw against the Western Sydney Wanderers in Mudgee.
But, for the first time in their history, Brisbane have conceded in 11 consecutive away games, having fallen behind to Oriol Riera's first-half brace.
Riera capitalised on two rebounds for his double after the Wanderers twice had hit the woodwork – the first when Bruce Kamau struck the post and the second when Jamie Young saved the Spaniard's penalty onto the upright.
Testing the frame of the goal is nothing new for Western Sydney, who went into the encounter having done so a league-high 16 times since the start of 2017/18.
Tarek Elrich made his 250th appearance in the Hyundai A-League, but the Wanderers were unable to hold on, a great strike from Alex Lopez and Adam Taggart's penalty seeing Brisbane earn a point.
