While the Hyundai A-League pauses for the international break, four local stars will be furthering their ambitions as train-on members of Graham Arnold's Caltex Socceroos squad.
Thomas Deng, Craig Goodwin, Rhyan Grant and Dimitri Petratos have all been afforded chances to impress in the lead-up to Saturday night's match against Korea Republic.
Daniel Arzani's unfortunate knee injury could present opportunities, particularly for Goodwin and Petratos to press their claims for a regular stay in the national team.

Attacking pair pack a punch
Goodwin's call-up caps a stunning month for the dynamic left winger after he steered Adelaide United to an FFA Cup crown in October.
The 26-year-old, recently returned from a spell in the Netherlands, bagged the most goals in this year's competition, scoring five in total including a brace in the Final against Sydney FC.
That impressive form has continued in the opening rounds of the Hyundai A-League.
Of all Australian players, only Perth Glory's Neil Kilkenny (11) has created more scoring chances than Goodwin (eight), who leads his club in the category.
He also leads the Reds for goals (three) and shots on target (five).
Alongside Petratos, Goodwin is also one of only three forwards to have made more than 100 passes this season, the other being James Troisi.
Petratos and Goodwin both offer Arnold a threat in wide areas, having delivered 32 and 19 crosses respectively this term. No other forward has made more than 10 crosses.
And although Newcastle remain winless, playmaker Petratos still appears to occupy the same important role that took him to the FIFA World Cup 2018.
Along with Ronald Vargas, he is one of two Jets players to have created more than five scoring chances, laying on seven, while he is equal first with the Venezuelan for shots on target (three).
Notably, the ex-Brisbane Roar man's combined cross/corner tally of 32 ranks him first among Australian players in the Hyundai A-League.
