Star duo depart Western Sydney Wanderers
Oriol Riera and Roly Bonevacia have both confirmed they will be departing Western Sydney Wanderers with immediate effect.
Spanish forward Riera, 32, announced his exit on Instagram yesterday after missing out on Saturday evening’s 1-0 defeat to Melbourne Victory.
“I wish to the club, players, fans and everyone involved at Western Sydney Wanderers all the best in the future,” Riera said.
The former La Liga marksman scored 25 goals in 49 Hyundai A-League matches for the Red and Black after arriving in Australia from Deportivo La Coruña in July 2017.

Experienced midfielder Bonevacia follows Riera out the exit door, having played his last game in Red and Black on Saturday.
The Dutchman, 27, also confirmed his exit via Instagram, saying: “Unfortunately not the results that we wanted to end the season with.
“This also was my last game for the club. I would like to thank the fans, the staff and of course the players for an amazing two years.”
Bonevacia joined the Wanderers in May 2017 from Wellington Phoenix and this season scored four goals in consecutive matches from Round 13-16.
He played 45 times for the Red and Black in the Hyundai A-League, scoring eight times.
Riera and Bonevacia’s departures have not been officially confirmed by the club, who are also yet to formally announce the exit of Alexander Baumjohann.
Head coach Markus Babbel revealed that the star playmaker will not be returning the Wanderers next season in a post-match interview with Fox Sports on Saturday.
