On Sunday 27th April Football Federation SA conducted a Small Sided Games (SSG) Presentation for the Adelaide Hills Junior Soccer Association (AHJSA) at Hahndorf Soccer Club.

Adelaide United FC defender and SSG Ambassador Richie Alagich conducted the session with a Powerpoint presentation followed by practical sessions involving young players from the AHJSA. Eight clubs from the AHJSA were in attendance on the day.

SSG are football games with fewer players competing on a smaller-sized field. They are fun games that encourage players to have more contact with the ball because fewer players are playing in a smaller area. SSG have a definite developmental impact on younger football players.

Practical sessions were conducted with the help of James Kerr (AHJSA Coaching Director). The FFSA will be conducting SSG Presentations at Clubs and Associations through the next month. Information will be made available through club delegates.
