Four Australia U-23s representatives found themselves in the Matchweek 1 Team of the Week as some of the nation's most exciting young talent were given their chance to impress throughout the opening rounds of the 2020/21 A-League.

The season kicked off on 28 December as Western United played out a 0-0 draw with Adelaide United in Geelong.
Lachlan Wales started his first match for the home side but was unable to break the deadlock as Reds goalkeeper James Delianov on debut against his former club.
Over at Dolphin Stadium, a solitary strike from Connor Metcalfe earned Melbourne City a 1-0 victory against Brisbane Roar.
The Australia U-23's midfielder curled home the first goal of the new season spectacularly after being teed up by Socceroos striker Jamie Maclaren.
Bankwest Stadium played host to the birth of a new rivalry as the A-League's newest club Macarthur FC trumped Western Sydney Wanderers 1-0.
Australia U23's midfield duo Denis Genreau and Keanu Baccus started and impressed in opposing colours, while the decisive goal was scored by former Socceroos skipper Mark Milligan.
On New Year's Eve, Central Coast Mariners wrapped up the round with a 1-0 win over F3 Derby rivals Newcastle Jets.
The Matchweek 1 Team of the Week included Australian U-23's Ryan Strain, Connor Metcalfe, Aiden O'Neill and Ramy Najjarine, joined by Australian internationals Mark Milligan, Ivan Franjic and Adam Federici.
Matchweek two of the competition kicked off in Wollongong as Wellington Phoenix took on reigning champions Sydney FC.
Socceroos Andrew Redmayne and Rhyan Grant played their part in holding off a fast-finishing Phoenix side to secure Sydney a 2-1 triumph, thanks to a pair of stunning strikes from debutant Calem Nieuwenhof and midfielder Luke Brattan.
The remainder of the round saw Brisbane Roar bounce back to defeat Melbourne Victory 3-1, Central Coast crash Macarthur's homecoming party with a 2-0 win in Campbelltown, and Adelaide United earned their first three points of the campaign by defeating Melbourne City 2-0.
Matchweek three kicks off on Friday night as Newcastle Jets host Western Sydney Wanderers.
