With just over two months before the Matildas kickstart their FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ campaign against Italy, fans will get the chance to meet their heroes and see the coveted Trophy in Sydney.
The Trophy is currently on its world tour and is in the midst of its Asian leg through Korea Republic, Japan, China and Thailand.
Along with Matildas past and present, there will be a special ambassador in tow: former Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.
The Australian great joins the tour as a FIFA Legends Squad member, having forged a prolific career for both club and country.

“I feel very proud of the Matildas’ accomplishments to qualify for this year’s Women’s World Cup in France,” Schwarzer said.
“On and off the field they are role models who are loved by all Australians.
“Having the Women’s World Cup Trophy in Australia is an honour. It gives the Australian football community a taste of what it could be like to have it in their hands for the next four years.”
Schwarzer played over 100 games for the Socceroos in a career that spanned 20 years.
On the club front, the 46-year-old was equally impressive.
Schwarzer played more than 500 games for English Premier League outfits Middlesbrough FC, Fulham FC, Chelsea FC and Leicester City.
His Premier League titles with Chelsea and Leicester made Schwarzer the first ever player to win back-to-back titles with different clubs.
And, having been 43-years-old at the time, Schwarzer became the oldest ever Premier League title winner when lifting the trophy with the Foxes.
