Singh's assurance: Wins on the way for Wellington Phoenix

Talented young playmaker Sarpreet Singh is adamant Mark Rudan's methods will soon see Wellington Phoenix return to winning ways.

Two fine Melbourne City finishes condemned Rudan's men to a successive defeat last time out.

Their momentum has stalled since the confident Round 1 win over Newcastle Jets, but Singh is certain results will turn.

"We all reviewed ourselves, our own individual performances and what we need to improve on," Singh said of the loss to City.

"It's been good so far [under Rudan]. I think we're doing all the things the coach wants us to do.

"The results will start to come if we keep believing in what we want to do.

"If we continue to do our jobs I think we'll start to win games."

Three points will be the priority at Westpac Stadium on Saturday as Adelaide United make the trip across the Tasman.

The Reds are a point ahead in sixth and will still be smarting from their own 2-0 loss to Perth Glory.

Phoenix defender Dylan Fox, who started away at AAMI Park in Round 4, is looking forward to locking horns with Craig Goodwin and company.

"They've got a few good players up front and they've been in good form recently," he said.

"We're obviously aware [of the threat]. We've done our homework.

"Anyone who comes to Wellington, we want it to be a hard game for them.

"That's what we set out to do this year. We're going to be a hard team to beat."
