Signing news: Silvera 'just stoked' after inking Mariners deal

Central Coast Mariners starlet Sam Silvera has signed a Hyundai A-League contract that will see him in Gosford until May 2022.

The 18-year-old Australian youth international has impressed during the club's run to the FFA Cup 2019 Semi Final, scoring his maiden goal in professional football in Central Coast's Round of 16 win over Brisbane Roar.

He was previously tied to a scholarship deal, but four sleeps away from the Mariners' Round 1 clash with Western Sydney Wanderers, Silvera's professional dream has come true.

“It’s a very exciting time for me and really I’m just stoked for this to happen on the eve of the season,” Silvera told the club website.
