Signing news: Reds re-sign five as Karlović looks to the future

Sarah Willacy, Laura Johns, Dylan Holmes, Kahlia Hogg, and Charlotte Grant have all re-signed with Adelaide United.

Goalkeeper Willacy, 24, spent the off-season with West Adelaide in the Women’s National Premier League and is returning for her fifth season as a Red.

Johns, 25, played 11 matches last season from left-back and was one of the side's most consistent performers.

“We’re delighted that Sarah, Laura, Dylan, Kahlia, and Charlotte are back for the new season,” said Adelaide boss Ivan Karlović. “These five girls made consistent progress last season and have worked extremely hard over this long off-season to come back to professional football in the best possible shape.

“Having these five players recommit to the Reds for another season is crucial for our development as a squad and will play a big part in what we can achieve this year, but also in the seasons beyond.

“Being able to continue our work and develop on the football we implemented over the last two seasons will make preparations for this year so much easier because the foundations have already been laid."
