Signing news: Hyundai A-League veteran extends Glory stay

Liam Reddy has signed a two-year contract extension with competition leaders Perth Glory.

The 37-year-old joined Glory - his seventh Hyundai A-League club - in 2016, where he has since been an ever-present for the Western Australians.

He has kept eight clean sheets for Tony Popovic's Premiership-chasing side in 2018/19.

“I’m very happy to have re-signed,” he told Perth Glory's official website.

"And I’m determined to win some silverware with Glory.

“The club has a very bright future and it’ll be great to be a part of that.

“The decision was made easy by our fantastic members and fans who are so great to play in front of.”

Reddy sits sixth on the all-time Hyundai A-League appearances list and was there for the competition's inaugural game, when Newcastle hosted Adelaide United in August 2005.

It is this experience and hunger to improve which will see him remain a key part of Perth in the future, according to Glory CEO Tony Pignata.

“Liam sets a great example with his professionalism on and off the field,” he said.

“His ambition to achieve and sustain success mirrors that of ours as a club and he will continue to be an important figure for Glory moving forward.”
