Signing news: Adelaide United re-sign four players ahead of new season

Adelaide United are building towards the start of the Westfield W-League 2019/20 Season, confirming the re-signing of four players on Friday.

Winger Emily Condon, Georgia Campagnale, Chelsie Dawber and Emily Hodgson have all committed to the Reds for another year.

For 21-year-old Condon, she is heading into her seventh season with the club, making her Adelaide’s longest-serving player.

She is delighted to remain with her hometown club and declared reaching the finals for the first time is the Reds’ primary objective.

“This season hopefully we’re going to make finals this time for the first time,” Condon, who has scored seven goals in 53 appearances, told the club’s official website.

“Last season we were so close only to miss out by a point so hopefully we can take it that extra step and make the finals.”

Campagnale, a versatile defender, has agreed to a sixth successive season with the club.

She has accumulated 49 appearances over the last five years.

Dawber is hoping to bring her prolific form in South Australia’s Women’s NPL into the Westfield W-League.

She scored 33 goals with Adelaide City across both the WNPL and subsequent finals series, helping the Black and Whites clinch a historic treble.

And Hodgson, who has been with Adelaide since 2016, has played 29 games in defence for the Reds.
