Ryan’s classy gesture for young Brighton fan

Mat Ryan’s generosity knows no bounds with the Caltex Socceroos gloveman making the day of a young Brighton and Hove Albion fan following the clash with Tottenham on Wednesday (AEST).

The Aussie shot-stopper spotted a young Seagulls fan in the stands and presented him with his jersey after the 1-1 draw at the AMEX Stadium.

Ryan had just played a man-of-the-match role as Brighton strengthened their hopes of avoiding relegation by taking a point off the high-flying Spurs.

The youngster was overjoyed with being presented the jersey, with his father sending Ryan a message of thanks on Twitter.

It’s not the first time Ryan has endeared himself to the Brighton faithful with a class act.

Just last month he made a young girl’s day when he escorted her onto the pitch prior to the game against Arsenal, which they went on to win 2-1.

And earlier in the season the 25-year-old made another young fan’s day after his penalty-save in injury-time helped secure a draw against Stoke City.

The young fan ran onto the pitch following the full-time whistle and hugged the Aussie star, with Ryan happy to oblige.

And Ryan happily removed his match-worn jersey and presented it to the star-struck Seagulls supporter.

It’s no wonder the Aussie keeper is now a firm fan-favourite at Brighton.
