Round 5 preview: Adelaide United v Melbourne City

Adelaide United have the chance to register a third consecutive win and consolidate their spot in the top four when they host Melbourne City in Round 5 of the Westfield W-League on Thursday night.

The Reds are determined to make the finals in 2020/21 and have made a strong start to the season, picking up back-to-back wins over Perth Glory.

Emily Condon has been Adelaide’s star, scoring the winning goal against Glory in successive weeks and she’’ll again be the key if her side is to secure another three points.

Defending champions City head into the contest with confidence renewed following their first win of the season last time out, and coach Rado Vidosic will be hoping it’s the start of a consistent run of results for his side.
