Raso takes out the NWSL's Goal of the Week

Having hit the woodwork twice in the first-half, Raso wouldn’t be denied her deserved goal after the break.

She broke through the Pride defence, using her pace and power to hold off Westfield Matildas teammate Alanna Kennedy before producing a composed finish from the edge of the box.

Kerr was one of the four nominations for her sublime header in Chicago Red Stars’ superb 1-1 draw against NSWL leaders North Carolina Courage.

With her side trailing 1-0 with less than 30 minutes to play, Kerr got on the end of Vanessa Di Bernardo’s cross to power a header into the corner of the net for her 10th goal of the season.

Utah Royals forward Katie Stengel and Seattle Reign’s Jess Fishlock – who both played in the Westfield W-League last season – were the other two players in the running for the award but were beaten by Raso’s cracker.
