Fans:  Who is the most annoying Socceroo?

Smith: The most annoying Socceroo would have to be Massimo Luongo. He’s a good friend of mine but he’s always up to something. He’s always trying to mess around with everyone.

Fans:  Who is the best player you have ever played with?

Smith: The best player I have ever played with would have to be Philippe Coutinho. He’s very talented on the ball and an amazing player. In training he would never ever give the ball away.

Fans: Who is your favourite Socceroo that you have played with?

Smith: My favourite Socceroo would will have to be Jamie Maclaren. We played in the Olyroos together and he was my first ever roommate. Every time we are in camp together, we room together and we’re such good mates.

Fans: Who is the toughest player you have played against?

Smith: Would have to be Eden Hazard. He’s obviously no longer in the Premier League anymore but he’s a very talented player. I was only 19 at the time at Chelsea away but he was great to play against, but he was definitely the toughest.

Fans: Was it your dream goal to play for Australia?

Smith: Definitely was for me and my family. It was always something I’ve dreamt of doing and a very proud moment for all of us involved and all the hard work that not only my family but myself put in when I was a lot younger.

Fans: Favourite person from your time at Liverpool?

Smith: Would have to say Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, James Milner. They made me feel so welcome and all the young lads going up. They made it very easy for everyone to fit in and we still keep in contact now.
