Phoenix flyer in FIFA Team of the Week

What does Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna have in common with Barcelona star Luis Suarez and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea?

The trio have all been named in the latest FIFA 19 Team of the Week.


Krishna joined some of world football’s biggest names for his prolific few days in the Hyundai A-League where he scored four goals in two matches.

The Fijian flyer’s superb week started when he scored two late goals to inspire his side to a thrilling 3-2 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.


He then backed it up a few days later, scoring two goals and providing an assist as Wellington came from 2-0 down to beat Central Coast Mariners.

The global recognition is a superb reward for Krishna who has been a key figure in Phoenix’s club-record unbeaten run and rise to fifth on the Hyundai A-League ladder.

Krishna’s overall rating now sits at 79, with his pass accuracy an incredible 92, while his dribbling is 82 and shooting at 80 are his best attributes.

As well as superstars Suarez and De Gea, other big names included in the Team of the Week include Chelsea’s Pedro, PSG playmaker Julian Draxler and Liverpool midfielder Fabinho.

The FIFA 19 Team of the Week is released by EA Sports on a weekly basis and is made up of players around the globe who are excelling for club and country.
