Perth Glory v Canberra United: match preview

Canberra United travel west looking to keep pace with the Westfield W-League's top three and go up against a Perth Glory side battling for their first points of the season.

Boasting an arsenal of Elise Thorsnes, Simone Charley and Ashlie Crofts, Heather Garriock's outfit have impressed going forward so far in 2019/20, scoring seven goals in their four matches.

That's one short of the competition's highest scorers, Champions Sydney FC, but the Green Machine sit in fourth place, four points behind league leaders Western Sydney Wanderers after two wins and two defeats.

Glory have been a shadow of the side that reached last season's Grand Final and need to get their campaign up and running after three straight defeats. The introduction of live-wire Spain international Celia last week was a step in the right direction for Bobby Despotovski's side.
