Outcome of independent Match Review Panel - Round 12

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) - consisting of Alan Contini (Acting Chair), Alan Davidson and  Adam D’Apuzzo – convened on Thursday, 3 January 2019 to consider an incident involving Chris Bowling (Newcastle Jets – Team Official) (Bowling) in or around the 45th minute of Newcastle Jets’ Hyundai A-League Round 12 Match against Brisbane Roar FC on Wednesday, 2 January 2019.

The MRP has the authority to consider the incident Bowling was issued with a direct Red Card by the Referee.  

The MRP determined that Bowling had committed the offence of use of offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures against a Match Official. The MRP confirmed that  Bowling will serve a suspension of one (1) match, being the minimum sanction for the offence.
