NPL review: Maitland's last-ditch miracle

They are calling it the Miracle in Maitland.

2019 Premiers Maitland pulled off an incredible piece of late drama against Broadmeadow Magic to progress through to the Northern NSW Grand Final.

With the first leg score of 2-2 unchanged, Magic thought they'd booked their ticket when John Majurovski broke the deadlock in the 85th minute.

But Maitland found the net via Matt Thompson in the dying seconds to level the tie 3-3 on aggregate and send the Magpies through on away goals.

They will meet Edgeworth Eagles in the big dance, after their 5-1 aggregate win over Lambton Jaffas.
