November’s Westfield W-League Goal of the Month: Fishlock’s screamer

With some stunning strikes scored in the Westfield W-League in November, we asked the fans to pick the best goal throughout the first month of the season. 

And after a tight vote over the last week, we can now reveal the winner. 

Melbourne City midfielder Jess Fishlock has claimed the competition's inaugural award, edging out Glory's goal-machine Rachel Hill. 

City's Welsh star earned the accolade for her superb strike against the Jets back in Round 3, with her long-range effort helping her side to a resounding 5-2 win. 

The midfielder moved into space around 30 metres from goal before firing an unstoppable drive into the top corner. 

Fishlock's cracker against Newcastle

Fishlock's strike earned 27% of the public vote, just ahead of Hill who claimed 21% of the total.
