Rabieh Krayem has been named as the new chairman of recently announced Hyundai A-League outfit Macarthur FC.
Krayem, a former chairman of ex-Hyundai A-League club North Queensland Fury and the Association of Australian Football Clubs, takes over from the outgoing Lang Walker and assumes the role immediately.
Under the terms of the agreement between the co-founders of Macarthur FC, Krayem will be chairman for three years on behalf of the Walker Corporation.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of the bid process to be part of the A-League and working with the various councils that are involved with our bid, as well as so many community members," Walker said.

“However, we are in a different phase of development now, which requires a broader level of experience in football and sporting administration and, importantly, someone with more time.
“Rabieh is the right man for the time. He knows the A-League and the National Premier Leagues competition, he understands the football development pathway, he’s worked in marketing and media and, as someone who grew up in Sydney, he understands the western Sydney community.
“I have absolute confidence in his ability to take the club forward and, together with Archie [Fraser, the club's chief executive] and our head coach Ante Milicic, see it become the biggest and most successful club in the A-League.”

Macarthur will enter the Hyundai A-League for the 2020/21 Season.
The club have already announced that current Westfield Matildas boss Ante Milicic will be their inaugural head coach.
Milicic’s unveiling came on the same day the club confirmed their official name, colours and logo.
Macarthur FC will play at Campbelltown Stadium, with its training headquarters to be based at a new Centre of Excellence which is currently under construction. In the interim, the club will make use of facilities at the University of Western Sydney at Campbelltown.
