Mooy’s Huddersfield held by Stoke City in EPL

Caltex Socceroos midfielder Aaron Mooy has helped Huddersfield Town secure another crucial Premier League point after a 1-1 draw with Stoke City overnight.

Mooy played another strong 90 minutes for the Terriers who had to settle for a point despite leading at the break through Tom Ince’s first goal for the club.

But despite enjoying the majority of possession and chances, the visitors got themselves a draw thanks to Ramadan Sobhi's second-half equaliser.

Stoke packed the midfielder at the John Smith's Stadium to try and limit the influence of the Aussie playmaker.

And while Mooy wasn’t able to inspire the Terriers to victory, he did have a strong penalty shout denied midway through the second half.

Mooy went down in the box after a clumsy challenge from Joe Allen but referee Anthony Taylor waved away Huddersfield’s appeals.

The draw stretches Huddersfield’s unbeaten run to three matches to sit in 11th spot on the EPL ladder.

Mooy’s Terriers host high-flying Burnley in their next outing on the weekend.
