Ministry of Sound to perform pre-match at the Hyundai A-League 2019 Grand Final

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced that internationally renowned brand Ministry of Sound will perform their show Orchestrated as the pre-match entertainment for the Hyundai A-League 2019 Grand Final on Sunday 19 May 2019.

Ministry of Sound: Orchestrated is a celebration of the most beloved dancefloor moments of the past 25 years and rearranges, remixes and reimagines classic tracks with a live symphony orchestra and special guest vocalists for a performance of spine-tingling beauty. Featuring classic dance hits from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Underworld, Swedish House Mafia and Alesso.

Ilan Kidron, the lead singer of one of Australia’s most successful dance groups, The Potbelleez, will be one of the guest vocalists for the show and will also sing the Australian National Anthem just before kick-off.

In addition, as part of the pre-match entertainment, FFA will honour a number Hyundai A-League players who have recently announced their retirement from professional football namely Fahid Ben Khalfallah, Adrian Leijer, Robert Cornthwaite, Manny Muscat, Bruce Djite and Luke Wilkshire.

Post-match, former Socceroo and NSL legend, Goran Lozanovski, will present the coveted Joe Marston Medal for the player of the Hyundai A-League Grand Final.

An NSL Premiership winner (1997/98) and two-time NSL Championship winner (1998 & 1999), Lozanovski won the Joe Marston Medal when he helped South Melbourne to a 3-2 victory over Sydney United in the 1999 NSL Grand Final.

Lozanovski played 254 matches over 12 seasons in the NSL from 1991 to 2004 with Preston Makedonia, Adelaide City, Collingwood Warriors, South Melbourne, Adelaide City & Adelaide United and also made 9 appearances for the Socceroos between 1996-1993. He is currently the Head Coach of Altona Magic in the Victorian National Premier League.

FFA Head of Leagues, Greg O’Rourke, is looking forward to another exciting Hyundai A-League Grand Final in Perth this Sunday.

“The Hyundai A-League Grand Final is the biggest day in the competition’s calendar and we have worked hard to give the fans an event that will be entertaining and memorable,” said O’Rourke.

“Last year’s performance by the Stickmen was really well received by fans and we believe that the pre-match show featuring the Ministry of Sound will be even better for both the fans in the venue and those watching from home.
