Melbourne City's Westfield W-League 2019/20 Season Draw

After missing the Westfield W-League Finals Series by the slimmest of margins last year, Melbourne City aim to kick-start their 2019/20 campaign against Newcastle Jets in Round 1.

City were crowned Westfield W-League Champions three times in a row between 2016 and 2018 and will be determined to reclaim their place at the top of the competition in 2019/20.

New signing Emily van Egmond returns to her old stomping ground on opening weekend and Rado Vidošić team are on the road again in Round 2 agains Canberra before they open their home campaign against Adelaide United in Round 3.

City were beaten twice in their two clashes against city rivals Melbourne Victory in 2018/19, so they will be determined to set the record straight against the Champions in the first Melbourne Derby at ABD Stadium in Round 5.

If City can climb back to their mantle, the celebrations could be in front of a bumper crowd on the final day of the season. They host Brisbane Roar ahead of the same Hyundai A-League game in a double header at AAMI Park.
