CommBank Matildas skipper Sam Kerr claims prestigious ESPY Award

CommBank Matildas skipper Sam Kerr continues to rack up the accolades after picking up an award at the annual ESPYS.

The 28-year-old was named the Best International Athlete, Women's Soccer for the third time, beating out Caroline Graham Hansen, Vivianne Miedema and Alexia Putellas for the award.

Kerr's award comes after an outstanding season with Chelsea and Australia, becoming Australia's all-time leading goalscorer earlier this year and also claiming back-to-back golden boots with Chelsea, helping them to their third consecutive WSL title.
