A dramatic matchday of Toppserien football saw a number of miraculous comebacks, while in Sweden, Emily Gielnik continued her goalscoring start in the Damallsvenskan.
Norway
Karly Roestbakken played a full 90 minutes in the Toppserien top-of-the-table clash between her side LSK Kvinner and Valeranga. Despite the full-back’s efforts, LSK Kvinner lost 3-1 at home to their championship rivals, falling to third place.
Roestbakken’s side will look to bounce back quickly, returning home to play 9th placed Kolbotn (Thursday 3am AEST).

Katrina Gorry netted her first Toppserien goal over the weekend, helping side Avaldsnes to a 1-1 draw at home against second place RBK Kvinner. The result keeps Avaldsnes in touch with the top two and potential European competition.
Teammate Clare Polkinghorne played a full 90 minutes in the backline, proving crucial as their opposition had a plethora of opportunities late in the match.
Next up for Avaldsnes is an away match against 7th place Klepp (Thursday 4am AEST), if Gorry and Polknghorne’s side are to compete for the Toppserien championship, then Thursday’s match will be one they expect to win.
Meanwhile, Teagan Micah started in goal as Arna-Bjornar recorded an incredible comeback victory 3-2 away at Kolbotn. After being 2-1 behind with 10 minutes to go, Micah’s side scored twice, including a 93rd minute winner to lift the keeper’s side 5 points away from the relegation zone.
Arna-Bjornar still have a midweek match to play against 4th place Sandviken (Thursday 3am AEST), in the hope of solidifying their position in the Toppserien.
Sweden
Emily Gielnik has continued her goal-scoring form for Vittsjo. However, Gielnik provided the winning goal late in her side’s 3-2 win.
The 90th minute strike proved more important than the result itself, with Vittsjo now 3 points clear of the relegation zone.
