March nominee for NAB Young Footballer of the Year

Football Federation Australia (FFA) and NAB, together with Melbourne Victory are proud to announce Jason Geria as the March/April nominee for the Hyundai A-League, NAB Young Footballer of the Year 2015/16 Award.

The nomination is Geria’s first ever nomination for the NAB Young Footballer of the Year Award.

Geria has been in white hot form for Melbourne Victory this season and his talents were recognised by Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Ange Postecoglou who selected him in his squad for the recent FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Tajikistan and Jordan and was thrilled to learn of the nomination following the end of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.

"It's an honour to be nominated for the NAB Young Footballer of the Year award," Geria said.

"Some of most exciting players in the Hyundai A-League have been nominated for this award so far this season, so it's humbling to be named alongside them.

"The Hyundai A-League gives a great chance for young players to make their mark at the elite level in Australia, and I'm grateful for the opportunities I have been given so far in my career.

"I have relished the opportunity to represent Melbourne Victory and the Olyroos this season, and being part of the recent Socceroos camp was also a great privilege."
