Caltex Socceroos striker Jamie Maclaren found the target overnight to help Hibernian to a 2-1 upset over Tom Rogic’s Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
Maclaren, on loan from German club SV Darmstadt, scored midway through the first half to hand his side a shock lead at home.
After Hibernian won possession in their attacking half, Lewis Stevenson was played in behind before whipping in a superb cross with Maclaren on hand to slot from close range.
It was Maclaren’s fourth goal in 11 matches since joining the club in January.
The 24-year-old got through 73 minutes for the hosts before being replaced by Lithuanian Vykintas Slivka.
The substitute all but sealed the result with a clinical header with 10 minutes remaining before Odsonne Edouard grabbed a late consolation for Celtic.
Tom Rogic played the full 90 minutes for the league-leaders as they missed the chance to wrap up their seventh-straight Scottish title.
Celtic remain 10 points clear at the top of the standings with four matches remaining and can be crowned Champions with a win over arch-rivals Rangers next weekend.
Hibernian remain in fourth spot, level with third-placed Rangers and three points adrift of Aberdeen in second.
