Sydney FC nailed their Hyundai A-League credentials to the mast with a dominant 3-0 win over Melbourne City on Friday night.

A first half goal from Paulo Retre opened the scoring for the visitors before a neat Adam Le Fondre finish doubled the advantage early in the second half.

Le Fondre added Sydney FC's third in stoppage time to seal an excellent display from Steve Corica's side, and make it seven goals in six matches for the Sky Blues.
