Julius Re

Born in 1932, Julius Re was very active in Western Australian soccer and on the national scene. He was largely responsible for the formation of the WA Soccer Federation as the inaugural secretary and then president from 1964 to 1972. Re also played a part in the formation of the Australian Soccer Federation in 1961, holding positions including chairman of the ASF Referee committee. He organised five Australian amateur carnivals and managed representative teams from Perth at tournaments in Malaysia, Thailand and Jakarta. Re was made a life member of the Australian Soccer Federation in March 1970.
