Isaias issues rallying cry ahead of FFA Cup Final 2018

Adelaide United captain Isaias has insisted tonight's FFA Cup Final 2018 against Sydney FC will be "totally different" to recent clashes between the pair.

The Spanish schemer and his Reds side have endured a frustrating run against the Sky Blues, most recently being held to a 1-1 home draw in Hyundai A-League Round 1.

It was the seventh league meeting in succession in which Adelaide failed to defeat the team that beat them 2-1 in the FFA Cup Final 2017.

While that record has many regarding the visitors as favourites to retain their trophy at Coopers Stadium, Isaias isn't so sure.

"We know their football style, we know their players, but for me in a Final anything can happen and in football every game is different, so I cannot say that it will be completely the same game as two weeks ago," the skipper said.

"We can expect a totally different game because it is a Final and you never know what is going to happen."

Isaias also believes his side can utilise home ground advantage, a luxury they did not have 12 months ago.

"I'm expecting that [the supporters] help us and support us like always," the experienced midfielder said.

"I know that with their support and their help we can beat anyone and we are stronger, 100 per cent.

"We need everyone to perform very good because they are a strong team, but we are hungry and we know if we play our best football in front of our fans we have a big chance to win the trophy."
