Indiah-Paige Riley named December Nominee for the Young Footballer of the Year

Brisbane Roar attacker Indiah-Paige Riley has been named the December nominee for the Westfield W-League’s Young Footballer of the Year award.

The 18-year-old forward started all four games for Roar played in December, with the club picking up 10 points from three wins and a draw.

In a Roar side packed with Westfield Matildas and international talent, New Zealand-born Riley proved she deserved her starting role with some sensational displays.

Riley scored the opening goal in the win over Adelaide United in Round 5 as Roar prevailed in a five-goal thriller.

She became a staple of the Roar side as they recorded further wins against Canberra United (Round 4) and Newcastle Jets (Round 7), as well as the goalless draw with Melbourne Victory in Round 6.
