Hyundai A-League to celebrate Harmony Round this weekend

The Hyundai A-League will again support Harmony Day through the annual Harmony Round over this weekend’s Round 24 of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season.

Harmony Day on 21 March is a celebration of Australia’s cultural diversity.

The key message for Harmony Round this year is that Everyone Belongs.

Football Federation Australia chief executive David Gallop said football was well positioned to spread the message of harmony and diversity due to its global appeal.

“Football’s diversity and inclusivity demonstrates the themes of Harmony Day,” he said. “Harmony Round gives us a chance to celebrate that.

“Within the ten Hyundai A-League clubs this season there are players from 25 countries and since the inception of the Hyundai A-League players from 64 countries have been represented. Over the past ten seasons of the Westfield W-League there have been 26 nations represented.

“Everyone is welcome in football regardless of their background, age, gender or ability.”

The Hyundai A-League clubs will be embracing diversity among players, spectators, supporters and partners through various celebrations in the week leading up to the round.
