After 27 matches of the regular season, and the thrills and spills of the Elimination Finals and Semi Finals, it all comes down to this, as the top-two teams from the Hyundai A-League 2019 ladder go toe-to-toe to decide who will be crowned champions of 2018/19. 

Tony Popovic's Perth Glory won the Premiers Plate in impressive style, losing just three games, scoring more (56) and conceding fewer (23) goals than anyone else along the way.

But they were made to work surprisingly hard by Adelaide United in a Semi Final they clinched via extra-time and a nerve-jangling penalty shootout that made a hero of goalkeeper Liam Reddy.

In the other corner, Sydney FC finished eight points adrift of the Glory in the league reckoning – although they did beat the West Australian side twice along the way (1-0 in Round 26, 2-1 in Round 9).

Steve Corica's bouyant side found their way to the Grand Final courtesy of an impressive 6-1 thumping of Big Blue rivals Melbourne Victory on Sunday.
