Here are the facts on the record breaking debutants this season

The Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season to date, has seen 92 players make their Hyundai A-League debut, the highest number of debuts for a Hyundai A-League season to date and the highest number of debutants for any national league season since 2000-01.

This season to date has also seen 44 players aged under 23 make their debut, including five youngsters since the competition's restart in mid-July. The increase in number of substitutes since the restart, now at five per team each game, has increased playing opportunities for the country's talented youngsters.

Since the restart Taras Gomulka (Adelaide United, 18), Lucas Mauragis (Newcastle Jets, 18), Luis Lawrie-Lattanzio (Melbourne Victory, 18), Aaron Anderson (Melbourne Victory, 19) and Danny Kim (Brisbane Roar FC, 21 years old) have all played their first Hyundai A-League games, with 25-year-old Western Sydney Wanderers FC goalkeeper Tristan Prendergast also making his first appearance in the competition with a start against the Central Coast Mariners.

15-year-old Mohamed Toure (Adelaide United) is the youngest player play so far this season with several substitute appearances starting earlier in the campaign, while Perth Glory's Gabriel Popovic is the youngest player to start a game, aged just 16 when Perth Glory took on Central Coast Mariners soon after the season restart.

Hyundai A-League newcomers Western United FC have introduced several new players to the league, including teenagers Luke Duzel and Jerry Skotadis, while Melbourne City FC have given senior debuts to five under-20 players this season including 17-year-old Ali Auglah.

Teenage debutants Ryan Teague and Marco Tilio have helped Sydney FC on their way to winning a record-breaking fourth Hyundai A-League Premiers Plate, and fellow competition heavyweights Wellington Phoenix have also played several youngsters including 18-year-old Sam Sutton.

The Newcastle Jets are making their late-season surge with the assistance of teenager Maki Petratos, who became the third Petratos brother to play in the Hyundai A-League this season.
