Born in Sydney in 1951, Harry Williams was the first Aborigine to play soccer for Australia. As a teenager, Williams toured Europe successfully with the 1970 team. His notable career included 43 games for Australia (20 full internationals). Known for his attention to technique, Williams was a respected and well-liked member of his club St George and the Socceroos.
