Han Berger’s All Stars team

FFA national technical director Han Berger has revealed his selection for the Foxtel A-League All Stars to face Manchester United.

With little more than two months until Manchester United land in Australia to face the Foxtel A-League All Stars, FFA national technical director Han Berger has revealed his selection to represent our league.

In one surprise, Berger has elected not to pick Sydney FC marquee man Alessandro Del Piero but instead said he has gone for “a mix of experience, creativity, speed and aerial power”.

“I looked at what would give me the best chance of a result with a positive but realistic game approach. I didn-t look at names or reputations and didn-t take into account that players might not be available.”

Berger said he wanted an experienced and strong defensive block, hence the choice for this goalkeeper, central defence and defensive midfielders, fullbacks who can create attacking options in wide areas, a compact midfield with the ability to support the attack, and a central attacker who is suitable to play a lone striker role.

So check out Berger-s team (4-2-3-1) and have your say below…

GK: Covic RB: Franjic CD: Beauchamp CD: Zwaanswijk LB: Rose CM: Hutchinson CM: Milligan LM: Rojas AM: McGlinchey RM: Broich S: Berisha
