The left-footed central defender impressed in his first season in the Hyundai A-League after joining the Heart from the AIS in February last year.
Heart general manager John Didulica confirmed on Monday night the 19-year-old had left for a trial with the Sports Direct Arena club.
Didulica tweeted: "Curtis Good left last night for a 10-day trial with EPL's Newcastle United."
Good, a three-time Qantas Young Socceroo, stepped up to make 24 appearances for the Heart in 2011/12.
Injuries to Simon Colosimo, and the departure of injury replacement Adrian Madaschi to the K-League, handed Good an opportunity he capitalised on.
The ball-playing defender inked a multi-year deal with the Heart in February 2011.

Good becomes the second Heart defender in their two seasons in the A-League to catch the eye of a European club.
