Long serving administrator George Wallace was born in England in 1926. Before migrating to Australia in 1970, Wallace was a referee and administrator. In 1970 he was appointed secretary/executive director of the Victorian Soccer Federation, a position he held until 1991 when he became VSF president. In 1977 he was appointed as a FIFA instructor on administration for the Development Program in Fiji, and was involved in the organisation of the 1981 and 1993 World Youth Championships. He is a Life Member of the Australian and Victorian Federations.
