Fox Sports and My Football Live app to show Bolt's potential Mariners debut

Usain Bolt could feature in a Central Coast Mariners shirt for the first time on Friday, August 31 and Fox Sports will be there to capture the momentous event.

The Gosford club's annual clash with a local Central Coast Select side will attract more eyes than ever before with Fox Sports to provide live coverage - which can also be streamed live on the My Football Live app - as part of a programme billed as 'The Trial'.

Mariners boss Mike Mulvey has earmarked the match as a likely first hit-out for Bolt and the world will be watching to see how the celebrated sprinter fares.

The fastest man in history, who has long held a dream to play professional football, will be eager to impress at Central Coast Stadium as he attempts to win a playing contract with the Hyundai A-League outfit.

His possible opponents will include some of the region's best players, giving Mulvey the chance to cast his eye over potential new additions.

Former Aussie athlete Matt Shirvington is set to helm Fox Sports' studio coverage alongside Mark Bosnich and Archie Thompson from 7:00pm on channel 505.

Adam Peacock and Robbie Slater then take up the call as the contest gets underway at 7:30pm.
