Wellington Phoenix cemented their place in the top six with a crushing 4-1 win condemning Brisbane Roar to a fourth straight loss on Saturday.
David Williams, Roy Krishna and Sarpreet Singh all scored in the final 15 minutes as Mark Rudan's confidently secured a third successive victory, a feat they last achieved in March 2015.
Brisbane had been level at half-time after Henrique cancelled out Avram Papadopoulos' own-goal opener, but they struggled to match the rampant hosts in the closing stages and are now eight points adrift of in-form Wellington.

Chances were scant throughout the opening 30 minutes despite the hosts enjoying a strong share of possession and making much of the running.
Their dominance was rewarded in bizarre fashion, Tom Doyle's long throw to the near post ricocheting off Jack Hingert and Papadopoulos' heads and looping over Jamie Young in the 35th minute.
The advantage was quickly erased, though, as Henrique dispatched Hingert's byline cut-back, the equaliser coming from Roar's first shot on target.
Adam Taggart looked certain to complete the quickfire comeback shortly after the interval, only to lose his footing with the goal at his mercy.
Williams was introduced in place of Nathan Burns and soon drew a sharp save from Jamie Young through a crowd of players.
The former Roar forward went one better in the 75th minute, curling a splendid finish into the bottom far corner from the edge of the area to reassert Phoenix's lead.
And the club's 100th Hyundai A-League win was secure when Young's foul on Doyle allowed Krishna to convert from the spot five minutes later, before the influential Sarpreet Singh added a polish to the one-sided scoreline with a cheeky free-kick in added time.
