Fornaroli’s emotional farewell to City

Bruno Fornaroli has said a moving farewell to Melbourne City fans after his time at the club was officially ended on Tuesday.

The Uruguayan and City came to an agreement to cancel the rest of his contract, ending months of being sidelined by coach Warren Joyce.

In an emotional post on social media, Fornaroli conceded it wasn’t the way he wanted his time at the club to end and thanked the fans for their love and support.

He admitted it had been tough being unable to speak publicly about his situation in recent months and hopes City fans remember him for the many goals and highlights he provided.
