What reception will Fornaroli receive on AAMI Park return?

Bruno Fornaroli was once a figure of worship for fans of Melbourne City FC, the club with whom he scored 57 goals in all competitions and staked a legacy as one of the Hyundai A-League's best-ever imports.

But when the club's record goal-scorer returns to AAMI Park with Perth Glory in Round 9, there will undoubtedly be mixed emotions for everyone involved.

WATCH: Fornaroli scored some truly spectacular goals for Melbourne City - how many will he clinch next season for Perth?

Uruguayan ace Fornaroli pledged his future to Perth in March, having cancelled his contract with City the previous month after he was kept sidelined by ex-boss Warren Joyce.

Following the departure of Andy Keogh, Fornaroli is destined to be the main source of goals for Tony Popovic and will be hungry to issue a demonstration of his quality at the venue he used to call home.

But Should the ex-Sampdoria and Panathinaikos front man score when Perth travel to Victoria in December, will he celebrate?

Can Perth get revenge for Grand Final defeat?

The heartbreaking nature of last season's Grand Final penalty-shootout defeat is sure to sting for Glory when Sydney FC come calling at HBF Park on November 23.

Having reigned supreme in the Hyundai A-League until that fateful day at Optus Stadium in May, where the Sky Blues clinched the Championship on spot-kicks, Perth will be fired up and ready to banish those painful memories in the season's first Grand Final rematch.

And having fallen twice to Sydney during the regular season last campaign, Popovic's side know they have to raise their standards against a Sky Blues team who have recruited strongly to defend their crown.

Popovic returns to Parramatta

Tony Popovic built the old Parramatta Stadium into one of the most feared venues around the Hyundai A-League during his tenure as Western Sydney Wanderers boss.

In Round 15, he'll return to Parramatta - the new Bankwest Stadium - a location that holds some truly special memories for the Glory boss, and for fans of the Red and Black.

Popovic achieved immeasurable success as the inaugural coach of Western Sydney, guiding the club to a Premiers' Plate in their debut season, three Grand Finals and an AFC Champions League triumph.

It could be an emotional night for the ex-Crystal Palace defender.
