Four-time Westfield W-League Champion Jess Fishlock has been honoured with the appointment as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).
The four-time Wales Player of the Year, 31, was recognised for her services to women’s football and the LGBT community at a Buckingham Palace ceremony overnight.
One of the most decorated players in women's football, Fishlock plied her trade for Melbourne Victory from 2012-2014, helping the club to its first Championship in 2013/14.

Fishlock also played a crucial role in shaping Melbourne City’s early dominance of the Westfield W-League.
The Cardiff-born maestro led City to three straight Championships and became the first player-coach to win the Westfield W-League in 2016/17.
