Former Reds great heading back to Adelaide

Former Hyundai A-League star Marcelo Carrusca is heading back to Adelaide…to play in the South Australian NPL.

Carrusca has signed to play with West Adelaide in the South Australian NPL in 2019.

The club confirmed Carrusca’s signing on Friday, on a one-year deal.

The 35-year-old, who was part of Adelaide United’s double-winning team in 2015/16, had been living in Sydney following his recent stint with Western Sydney Wanderers last season.

Carrusca arrived the Reds in 2012 and went on to make 114 appearances for the club, scoring 25 goals.

At his best the Argentine was one of the most exciting players in the Hyundai A-League, playing a key role in the Reds’ title-winning season as well as their FFA Cup triumph in 2014.
