Adelaide United
It’s a strong-looking side for the Reds, with solidity in the backline as well as some steel and creativity in the middle of the park.
Gertjan Verbeek’s attack also has plenty of threat, with a nice blend of speed and the finishing prowess of Kristian Opseth.

Brisbane Roar
Goalkeeper Jamie Young is Roar’s highest-rated player so he’ll provide a solid base at the back, behind the next best in defender Tom Aldred.
Six new signings have made coach Robbie Fowler’s top XI, including striker Roy O’Donovan who will be required to score plenty of goals if Roar is to succeed.

The midfield is set to be the Mariners’ strength this season their top-rated players in the middle of the park, including Tommy Oar, Daniel De Silva and Korea Republic arrival Kim Eun-sun.

In Richard Windbichler, Josh Brillante and Jamie Maclaren, Erick Mombaerts’ City have a strong spine to build on heading into the campaign.
Add in the exciting trio of Craig Noone, Florin Berenguer and Adrian Luna and this could be one squad set to trouble their opposition.

Melbourne Victory
No guessing where Victory’s strength lies. The attacking trio of Robbie Kruse, Andrew Nabbout and Ola Toivonen (the latter with the joint-highest rating in the competition) is the envy of any side in the Hyundai A-League.
With a plethora of defenders, we’ve bumped the versatile Tim Hoogland into midfield to plug the gap left by the losses of Carl Valeri and Keisuke Honda.

In the Hunter, it’s all about getting the ball to the front third.
The attackers are where the Jets’ quality lies, with Wes Hoolahan pulling the strings behind a mouth-watering strike force of Dimitri Petratos and Abdiel Arroyo.

We’ve been forced to shift to a back four (from Glory boss Tony Popovic’s preferred three) to make this team work. But there’s a lot to like about it.
Especially up the field, where Diego Castro - the joint top-rated Hyundai A-League player - provides the ammunition for the likes of Bruno Fornaroli and Chris Ikonomidis.

Sydney FC
No club had more players in the top 50 Hyundai A-League stars than the Sky Blues.
And it’s not hard to see why when you see the quality in the XI, starting from Alex Wilkinson and Rhyan Grant at the back, Milos Ninkovic and Alexander Baumjohann in midfield and an attacking duo of Kosta Barbarouses and Adam Le Fondre.

We've also plumped for a four-man Phoenix defence and it is at the rearguard where Ufuk Talay’s side is the strongest.
Led by new skipper Steven Taylor, the likes of Luke DeVere, Liberato Cacace and Matti Steinmann will ensure the Kiwi outfit has a solid base to build on.
And keep a watch on Mexican attacker Ulises Davila who could be an X-factor.

Western Sydney Wanderers
Perhaps the biggest surprise in the Wanderers side comes between the sticks, where Vedran Janjetovic gets the nod over new recruit Daniel Lopar.
Other than that, much of the Wanderers squad picks itself with strength through the middle of the pitch.

For the Hyundai A-League new boys, it’s all about allowing Panagiotis Kone and Alessandro Diamanti the chance to pull the strings.
The international duo are the club’s highest-rated players, while there’s also plenty of quality at the back in Josh Risdon, Ersan Gulum and Andrew Durante.
