Do the maths | The final round permutations

There’s still everything to play for with just one round left in the Hyundai A-League season.

There-s still everything to play for with just one round left in the Hyundai A-League season.

Western Sydney Wanderers look set to win the Premiers Plate in their debut season - unless Newcastle Jets can stun the new boys and hand the advantage to their F3 rivals in Gosford.

For the Central Coast mariners, nothing less than a win will do against Melbourne Heart - unless it-s all academic by then anyway…

And further down the table, there are still four teams fighting it out for those last two spots in the finals.

Here-s how it could all pan out (excluding any unforseen collapses or heavy scorelines)…

Western Sydney Wanderers - will finish in FIRST place with a draw or a win, or a loss if Central Coast Mariners don't win - otherwise the Wanderers will finish SECOND

Central Coast Mariners - will finish in FIRST place with a win if Western Sydney lose - otherwise the Mariners will finish SECOND

Melbourne Victory - will finish in THIRD place with a win, or with a draw if Adelaide don't win, or with a loss by one goal if Adelaide don't win, or with a loss by more than one goal if Adelaide lose - otherwise the Victory will finish FOURTH

Adelaide United - will finish in THIRD place if they win and Victory don't win, or with a draw if Victory lose by more than one goal - otherwise Adelaide will finish FOURTH

Brisbane Roar - will finish in FIFTH place if they win, or if they draw and neither Perth nor Newcastle win - will finish in SIXTH place if they draw and either one (not both) of Perth or Newcastle win, or if they lose and both Perth and Newcastle lose (although if Brisbane lose by more than four goals then they would finish outside of the top six if Perth draw) - otherwise Brisbane will finish outside of the top six

Sydney FC - will finish in FIFTH place if they win - will finish in SIXTH place if they draw, and both Perth and Newcastle don't win; or if they lose, Perth loses and Newcastle doesn't win (although if Sydney lose by more than four goals then they would finish outside of the top six if Newcastle draw) - otherwise Sydney will finish outside of the top six

Perth Glory - will finish in FIFTH place if they win and Brisbane and Sydney draw - will finish in SIXTH place if they win, and Brisbane defeats Sydney or Sydney defeats Brisbane; or if they draw, Newcastle don't win, and either Sydney lose or Brisbane lose by more than four goals (if Brisbane lose by four goals, then goals for will come in to play) - otherwise Perth will finish outside of the top six (a win effectively guarantees Perth a place in the top six)

Newcastle jets - will finish in FIFTH place if they win, Perth don't win, and Brisbane and Sydney draw - will finish in SIXTH place if they win, Perth don't win, and Brisbane defeats Sydney or Sydney defeats Brisbane; or if they draw, Perth loses, and Brisbane defeats Sydney by more than four goals (if Brisbane defeats Sydney by four goals, then goals for will come in to play) - otherwise Newcastle will finish outside of the top six
