Daniel Arzani joins FC Utrecht

Exciting Australian winger Daniel Arzani has a new club for 2020/21, joining Dutch side FC Utrecht on a season-long loan.

Arzani joins Utrecht after spending two seasons at Celtic, on loan from parent club Manchester City.

However, his time at the Scottish Champions was mostly spent on the sidelines, suffering a serious ACL injury on his debut.

The 21-year-old - who represented the Socceroos at the 2018 FIFA World Cup - has been working hard to regain full fitness, and will be raring to go at his new club in the Eredivisie.

"Daniel is a fast, agile winger who can play on both the left and the right. He plays with a lot of guts and has power in his actions, which suits our club and supporters," described FC Utrecht Technical Director Jordy Zuidam.

"We've been following Daniel since his time at Melbourne City, where he made his first-team debut at the age of 17.

"For a long time he seemed unattainable for us, but we could finally strike this transfer period.

"I am happy that he is finally here in Stadium Galgenwaard to sign a contract. We look forward to seeing him in the shirt of FC Utrecht in the anniversary season."
