City trio depart after loan spell

Melbourne City loanees Ritchie de Laet, Shayon Harrison and Riley McGree have all returned to their respective parent clubs, the Victorian outfit has confirmed.

The City trio follow departed head coach Warren Joyce out the door after the Englishman's exit was also confirmed on Wednesday.

Former Premier League winner de Laet, 30, will return to English Championship club Aston Villa after an impressive debut campaign in Australia in which the Belgian scored seven goals.

McGree, 20, is set to go back to Belgian outfit Club Brugge. He also contributed seven goals for the Victorians.

Meanwhile, English talent Harrison, who arrived in Melbourne in the January transfer window, will return to his Premier League employers Tottenham Hotspur.

The 21-year-old quickly caught the eye of Hyundai A-League fans and scored four goals in 11 matches.
