In the first minute, Jack Clisby delivered a precision cross against his old club that was met with force by the head of Matt Simon.

The Mariners soon doubled their lead when a direct run from Connor Pain ended with a ball across to Tom Hiariej, who fired home first time from point blank range.

It was three just a minute later when McGlinchey unleashed a stunning strike from distance to make it 3-0.

The match began to slow down following the all-action start as the Wanderers introduced a slew of second half changes.

Markus Babbel's side are set to take on Melbourne City in the FFA Cup 2018 Quarter Finals next Wednesday.
